Accessible Aging In Place Bathroom $35,000-$75,000
Project Description:
This project was a full bathroom remodel for a couple that wanted to continue living in their home as they got older. We completely demoed the existing bathroom including removing a bulkhead, ceiling panels, a wall, built in storage, and the existing subfloor. Then we rebuilt the bathroom with a new subfloor, partial wall, drywall on walls and ceiling. We moved the plumbing and updated the electric. Lastly, we finished the bathroom with an ADA toilet, new flooring, vanity and tall linen cabinet, a low threshold shower with acrylic walls and a solid surface seat. We added three safety grab bars and a barn door for easy access in the bathroom.

Change Orders:
This project had two change orders. The first one was to add an additional safety grab bar that wasn’t part of the original scope. The second one was for mold remediation, electrical, and plumbing issues that were discovered during demo.
